Summer comes but once a year, and the bounty of the island’s burgeoning mango trees comes with it. Each June, we celebrate this annual harvest with Mango Fest Key West. Now in its fifth year, the annual festival features all things mango and takes place from Thursday, June 23 – Sunday, June 26, when the island’s mango trees are bursting with juicy fruit clusters.
Want to learn how to create intriguing mango dishes, make the best Mango Mojito north of Havana, or shake things up with a Mango Margarita? Then Mango Mania is your ticket to ride.
There’s always a fantastic array of activities going on all over the island: from mango competitions, mango demonstrations, and mango tastings, to all kinds of mango makings with everything from tropical drinks to tacos and guacamole, a Vendor Village at Bayview Park and so much more.
Founded by Key West Police Sergeant Jesse Hammer, this fun, fruitful event benefits the Key West Police Athletic/Activities League and has evolved into one of the Keys’ most significant fundraisers for kids.
