The inaugural Key West Mermaid Festival is a new fin-tastic event that splashes down on Friday, July 5th through Sunday, July 7th. With a fun, family friendly roster of events, the festival embraces mermaids and mermaid enthusiasts of all ages and also raises awareness for our beautiful oceans.
Friday, July 5th
Noon – 6 pm Meet the Mermaids Kick-Off Pool Party
“Mer-mingle” and swim with mermaids, experience a Mermaid Swim Show, nibble on fantastic food and drink specials and party around the island’s biggest pool! Havana Cabana Resort, 3420 N Roosevelt Blvd.
Noon – 6pm “Under the Sea” on The Green
This mermaid/ocean-inspired art show features top artists, live mermaids, art vendors, terrific live entertainment and more. Takes place on the Sunset Event Lawn between The Gates Hotel, 3824 N Roosevelt Blvd and 24º North Hotel, 3820 N Roosevelt Blvd.
Saturday, July 6th
8am – Noon Breakfast with Mermaids
Savor a sumptuous breakfast right on the beach at the Southernmost Beach Resort, 1319 Duval St.
11am – Noon Mermaid Fest Parade
This eco-friendly/recycled Mermaid Parade floats down Duval St to the Truman Waterfront for a fun afternoon of Salty Saturday activities.
Noon – 6pm Salty Saturday
Get wet and wild at the Splash Pad, shop mermaid & ocean-inspired vendors, and enjoy great live entertainment on the Truman Waterfront.
8 pm – Midnight Ocean Blue Party
Come dressed in your favorite hue of ocean blue, sip on sparkling mimosas from Blanc De Bleu and dance the night away. The Breakfast Club, Too, 610 Greene St.
Sunday, July 7th
11am – 6pm Sunday Funday with Mermaids
Beach it up seaside with more mermaids, cool vendors, music and more at Lagerheads Beach Bar, 0 Simonton St.
