Master jewelry designer, Jeff Woessner, started making jewelry at the tender age of five. By the time he reached eight years old, he had already sold his first creation from a stand in front of his Hartland, Michigan home.
Over the last 40 years, his prolific talent has garnered him multiple awards and he’s also widely renowned for creating the rings for the royalty of Key West’s annual Fantasy Fest.
His small Key West shop tucked away in a small alley behind Kennedy Drive is far from the maddening crowds of busy Duval Street. While it might not be easy to find, Jeff’s Gem’s offbeat location translates into lower prices on meticulously hand-crafted rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, as well as one-of-a-kind custom pieces created from authentic treasure coins salvaged from sunken Spanish Galleons.
Each one of Jeff’s beautiful pirate-inspired pieces is entirely unique. He can create a design to your individual specifications using the finest platinum, white gold, yellow gold, and silver. He and his wife Shelly also stock a terrific selection of diamond bracelets, wedding ring sets, precious gemstones, and interesting nautical gifts.
You can find Jeff’s Gems at 906-F Kennedy Drive, right behind Kennedy Plaza. Open Tu – F from10 am – 5 pm and Sat from10 am – 4 pm. Info: 305-296-4367; JeffsGems.com.
