Poke Bowls, Flatbreads, And Such
This fun “backyard” eatery is located in the rear courtyard of the Aquaplex complex and is a great place to grab yummy Hawaiian style fare. Chef Alex’s Poke Bowls, made with various types of fish or crispy chicken thighs, are absolutely delish. The festive bowls are skillfully created with Kokuho Japanese Rice, spicy seasonings and a variety of vegetables that might include watermelon radishes, edamame, cucumber, jalapeño, Wakame seaweed salad, and a host of other goodies. Other standouts: the Braised Short Rib with teriyaki scallion glaze and fresh jalapeños; TJ’s Naan Bread with Sriracha aioli, sliced prosciutto, red onion, cheese and fresh basil; and the Maya – crispy chicken thighs in orange sesame sauce over rice. What a find!
