Key West may be thousands of miles away from the North Pole, but the island’s Historic Inns are all gussied up for the holidays as if Santa himself were coming to check in.

And it’s no wonder. Because on two enchanted Friday nights, December 10 and 17, Key West throws open it’s doors from 6 – 8 pm for the annual Holiday Historic Inn Tours.

The two tours feature four festive island properties each evening where you can explore the beautiful architecture and unique history of some of Key West’s most charming inns while making merry with tasty holiday treats and festive libations. Local innkeepers will also be on hand to share insights and fascinating back stories about their properties.

On Friday, December 10, destinations include The Gardens Hotel, Island City House Hotel, and Amsterdam’s Curry Mansion Inn, as well as the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory,

On Friday, December 17 you’ll get to visit The Mermaid & The Alligator Guest House, Winslow’s Bungalows, Wicker Guesthouse, and the Weatherstation Inn.

The tours are self-guided and you’re welcome to start off the evening at any participating property. Trolleys provide transportation between stops but you can also bike, walk or use your own transportation to make the rounds.

FYI: Advance tickets are highly recommended and you can purchase yours right online at keystix.com.

For those of you who hate to plan ahead, tickets will also be available for pick-up after 5 pm at the first location on each evening’s roster: The Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory (1316 Duval St) on Friday, December 10; and The Mermaid & The Alligator (729 Truman Ave) on Friday, December 17.
