Boat ParadeWhile the Florida Keys may never experience a traditional white Christmas, we still have a passion for celebrating the season in high island style.

Lots of fun holiday events fill the season, but none is more anticipated than the Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parades.

The maritime merriment kicks off on Saturday, December 13th, when Schooner Wharf Bar’s 34th Annual Lighted Boat Parade sets sail in Key West’s Historic Harbor. The magic, creativity, and originality of this parade are totally over the top and make it a favorite holiday tradition. Headquartered at Schooner Wharf Bar, the festivities kick off at 6 pm with lots of holiday revelry and the House of Pan Steel Band tapping out holiday favorites.

The parade shoves off at 8 pm when vessels of all shapes and sizes dazzle the crowd with Christmas creativity. The festive fleet struts its stuff past the Judging Stand at Schooner Wharf for a shot at $40,000 in prize money. It’s a world-renowned holiday event that you won’t want to miss!

Boat ParadeSaturday, December 13th, also marks the date for Marathon’s Boot Key Harbor Parade, which sets sail at 6 pm from the west end of Boot Key Harbor (7 Mile Bridge side) and slowly winds its way east into the harbor. Best views include the Marathon Marina, Burdines Restaurant, and Dockside Lounge.

Also, shoving off on Saturday, December 13, is Key Largo’s Lighted Boat Parade. Blackwater Sound shimmers and glimmers as costumed mariners promenade along the shoreline in vessels decorated with “A Grinch in the Keys” theme. Kicks off at 7:30 pm with best viewing between MM 103.5 – 104.5.

On Sunday, December 14th, it’s time for the Stock Island Lighted Boat Parade & Holiday Carnival. Enjoy a merry celebration with great live entertainment, holiday photo ops, fun games, and more. Festivities start at 3 pm; Boat Parade ships out at 6:30 pm. The whole day of fun takes place at the Perry Hotel & Marina, 7001 Shrimp Rd.

Holiday Fest Final BoatOn Saturday, December 20, Kiki’s Lighted Boat Parade lights up the Lower Keys with a holiday show around Newfound Harbor. In addition to the parade of boats, you can enjoy a terrific drone show with synchronized music, as well as a special appearance by Santa, and a lively beachside party. Kicks off at dusk from Kiki’s Sandbar, 183 Barry Ave (MM28.5 Gulfside).

And there you have it: five festive Holiday Boat Parades that are sure to add a touch of tropical magic to your holiday season.
