inspired by passion, grace & destiny

prelude
There are moments that pass unnoticed, and others that are forever etched in time. The morning of August 12, 2017, proved to be one of the most significant of my professional career—and beyond. I am honored to present this story to you in written format, for the very first time.

part 1 | endless journey
As far back as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for pathways and walkways. While researching, I came across a dock on the Atlantic side of Lower Sugarloaf Key, just a few miles from my home—where I have lived for more than four decades. Intrigued, I contacted the owner and arranged to photograph the structure. Upon my arrival, I quickly went to work. As I prepared, I watched the clouds slowly converge in a way that mirrored my vision of how I wanted to portray the scene. With growing anticipation, I knew the defining moment was about to unfold. When the midpoint of the cloud formation aligned with the center of the dock, I took my shot. Upon reflection, I titled this piece ENDLESS JOURNEY, for I believe life itself is just that—a quest to find its true meaning and an inner knowing that it is never-ending.

part 2 | road less traveled, old florida
Immediately after pressing the shutter, I noticed a unique-looking bird fishing along the left side of the pier. Recognizing a potential subject, I approached slowly and methodically, careful not to disturb its focus. As I drew closer, the bird shifted to the center and was poised to take flight. With one leg already lifted into the air, a swift departure was only seconds away. Without hesitation, I captured the moment—the elusive reddish egret perfectly framed and forever part of my collection.

Shark Sightingpart 3 | shark sighting
A moment later, I returned to the spot where I first photographed the pier. As I turned to the right—as if being called—a cloud of uncommon distinction appeared above the palms. Its shape was undeniable: that of a great white shark. I composed and recorded this extraordinary vision, a fleeting apparition transformed into material form.

epilogue
