Authentic, But Not Traditional, Japanese Cuisine
Located on the Miami River with front row seats of passing yachts, this award-winning Japanese restaurant creates a variety of dishes from its three kitchens: the Main Kitchen, the Sushi Counter, and the Robata Grill. Master Chef Rainer Becker’s internationally acclaimed style of modern Japanese izakaya dining is not only a “celebrity favorite,” it’s also completely off-the-charts. In addition to the fabulous Omakase (chef’s choice), the menu offers an array of sophisticated Japanese dishes, as well as an extensive lineup of fresh sushi and sashimi. Perennial favorites include Crispy Fried Calamari with Serrano pepper and lime, Beef with Shishito Pepper in smoked chili soy, and Grilled Scallops with pickled plum, shiso, and mentaiko butter. Epic seasonal and signature plates include items such as Sliced Lobster with black pepper ponzu and Oscietra Caviar; an Iberico Pork Skewer with hatcho yakiniku; and Grilled Chilean Seabass with a green chili and ginger dressing.

Bold, Globally-Inspired Dishes
Hawaiian-born Chef David Robbins’ locally sourced menu takes you on a tasty romp with global creations inspired by the flavors of Polynesia, Southeast Asia, Peru, and even Western Europe. His imaginative dishes include light bites like Organic Beet Tartare with mango “yolk”; and Steam Buns with ginger-soy short rib, yuzu pickled cucumbers and gochujang aioli; Main dishes are just as “clean” and flavor-packed. The Eggplant Cannelloni surprises with cashew “ricotta,” heirloom sauce Pomodoro, rooftop basil, and aged balsamic. Robbin’s dry-aged Sustainable Salmon with crispy skin, tomato eggplant ragout, grape must, and rooftop herbs is another winner. If you have a hankering for steak, check out the Hibachi Grilled Grass-Fed Prime Beef with Ginger tamari, k-pop glaze, bok choy, Okinawa purple yams, gochujang aioli, and yuzu pickled cukes. The entire menu here is “Yowza” worthy, but the Korean Fried Chicken, marinated in fermented garlic honey with yuzu pickled watermelon is totally OMG!
