Reminiscent of an old-fashioned variety show and the brainchild of a local icon, Peter Arnow, the 16th Annual Pride Follies returns to Key West for a one-night-stand on Saturday, June 1.
As the annual prelude to Key West Pride (June 5 – June 9), the show tributes the late Ed Sullivan’s hit show, “Toast of Town.” FYI: For those of you under sixty, this was once considered “Must See TV” from 1948 to 1971.
Whatever your age, it really doesn’t matter. Great entertainment never gets old, and everyone gets a big kick out of this high-energy extravaganza.
Acclaimed performer and Fantasy Fest Queen 2017, Destiny Montgomery, returns to host and directs another outrageous production. The show typically runs 1-1/2 hours and showcases over a dozen performers rarely performing in Key West. Expect a fabulous array of unforgettable comedy, singing, and dancing. BTW: This show always sells out, so get your tickets early.
Pride Follies takes to the stage at 8 pm (doors open at 7 pm with full bar service) at the Key West Theater, 512 Eaton St. An After Party follows at Mangoes, 700 Duval St. Info and tickets: 305-985-0433; keywesttheater.com.
