Key West’s “One Human Family” ethos is more than just a slogan: it’s a philosophy that we locals live by.

Renowned as one of the most harmonious and welcoming communities in America, our little piece of paradise is also a famous gay mecca that attracts thousands of LGBTQ visitors to our shores. Especially in the summer, when three major events keep the tiny two-mile by four-mile island hopping.

Key West Pride, which takes place from Wednesday, June 2 – to Sunday, June 6, is always one big party. In addition to the lively bar scene centered on Upper Duval Street, there are lots of other events going on, including a two-day PrideFest Street Fair, a raucous parade, pool and beach parties, wine tastings, water activities, the annual Pride Follies showcasing extraordinary local talent plus a whole lot more.

The action continues when Tropical Heat, Key West’s hottest event for men, cranks up the temperature on Wednesday, August 11 – Sunday, August 15. With all-male theme activities, pool parties, and adult-oriented entertainment, it’s a steamy four days, rain or shine.

Just before the school year starts in earnest and as the last rays of summertime finally set, Key West welcomes women from across the globe to WomenFest. This annual celebration has become one of the largest gatherings of lesbians and friends in North America.

The four days of revelry include pool parties, drag shows, water excursions, late-night parties, and more. The event takes place from Wednesday, September 1 – to Sunday, September 5.
