Key West: With his tousled blonde locks blowing in the breeze and a devilish twinkle in his eye, Capt. Seth Salzmann takes to the helm and slips out into the harbor. Sunset Sail Key West – his spirited fleet of authentic sailing vessels, is his pride and joy, but today he commands his beloved “When And If.”

At over 63’ and with 1,700 square feet of canvas, this luxury racing schooner was originally commissioned by General George Patton in 1939 and accommodates
up to 28 passengers. When he’s not burying the rail on the “When And If,” Capt. Seth and his gregarious crew are thrilling guests on one of their other impressive schooners like the versatile
33’ custom sloop, “High Tide.” With a ten passenger capacity, the High Tide is ideal for exploring the back country or for chartering your own private sunset sail.

For an even more intimate trip, the 32’ “Free Spirit,” a Lazy Jack Schooner that holds up to six guests, is great for overnight sailing adventures to some of the coolest
hideaways around the island.

At 41’ “Conch West,” a blue water cruising ketch, offers day trips for up to 6 people as well as overnight, secluded island exploration charters. Capt. Seth and his crew can whisk you away for variety of daily trips, as well, including Sunrise and Day Sails, Sunset and Starlight Sails and Snorkel Sails to the reef, coral gardens and ship wrecks.

Whatever you decide on, get ready for the real deal. Because as soon as you pull out of the harbor, the sails go up and the engines go off so you get an authentic sailing experience every time. Info and reservations: 305-587-4488; sunsetsailkeywest.com.
