Ever wonder what it’s like to “glamp” overnight in a tiny house on a Florida Keys island?
Well, stop dreaming because now you can enjoy “glamorous camping” at the Florida Keys’ only tiny house village, a waterfront enclave located at the 75-acre Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina in the Lower Keys near Big Pine Key.
The newly opened Sunshine Key Tiny House Village, identifiable by its bright tropical colors, offers five models: the aqua Kai and jade Hemingway, each with accessible lofted sleeping quarters; the yellow Lucy and light green Isla with round porthole-style windows; and the pink Pearl with a lofted queen bed and a living room sleeper-sofa.
Each tiny house is under 350 square feet and sleeps two to six guests. Situated near the RV resort’s Gulf of Mexico shoreline, each one has its own distinctive design and is equipped with linens, a full bath and standing shower, air conditioning and heat, a stove top, coffeemaker, toaster, cookware and dinnerware, a refrigerator, TV with basic cable and outdoor dining.
In addition to the Tiny House Village, the 399-site Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina features a full-service marina, a recreation center and stepladder access to an open-water swimming area from a sunset pier. The waterfront Tiny House Village is a great “glamping” option for any Keys road trip and at rates that start at just $250 per night (plus tax) it’s one helluva deal.
You can find it at 38801 Overseas Highway near Bahia Honda State Park. Wanna know more? Call 877-570-2267 or hit them up at sunshinekeytinyhouse.com.
